About this session
The next wave of upstream, LNG, grid, renewable and lower-carbon projects is colliding with limited engineering capacity, constrained fabrication yards, long-lead equipment, skilled-labour shortages and disrupted supply chains. Traditional delivery models that bring contractors in late and transfer risk through fixed-price contracts are increasingly producing claims, delay and cost escalation rather than certainty. Owners, EPCs and oilfield-service companies are responding through earlier contractor involvement, alliance and EPCM models, modularisation, standardisation, shared procurement and digital engineering. The discussion will focus on which models are improving cost and schedule outcomes, how project pipelines should be sequenced against capacity, and what partnerships can expand engineering and fabrication capability in India and globally.
